If I had to describe myself in 1 word it would be 'homebird'. I am essentially a Stepford wife with attitude and an opinion lol. I live in my little terraced house in the North East with my fiancé (Chris). In February this year we welcomed our gorgeous little boy into the world. Despite all the preparation and insight i thought i had; having a baby was a huge shock to the system. However, regardless of all the sleep deprivation, dirty nappies, projectile pee, baby sick and more; I promise you its totally worth it because that first cuddle will melt your heart forever.
So where are we now? Well Joseph is 9 months old and thriving. He seems to learn something new everyday and always finds a way to make me laugh out loud whether its spitting his porridge back at me or babbling away making random noises that form words (I swear he said 'ginger' the other day). Me? Well I've recently returned to work on a part time basis and i'm learning to adjust to being a mum and also a professional in the workplace.I have thought about blogging for a long time and just never knew how to go about it or how to start. Anyway since having Joe I have found it increasingly difficult to record all the 'stuff' that's being going on so what better way to do that than to start a blog. So with a bit of encouragement from a friend i sat down with my iPad and The Amazing Adventure of PB & J was born. Great name right?
So the plan for the blog is to give a lighthearted view of my journey as a first time mum plus throwing in a few reviews and maybe a baking post or two (I do LOVE to bake).
Now in the hope that you will find this entertaining or at least wait it out for some scrummy cake pictures; sit back, grab a cuppa and have a read. I hope you enjoy our journey.
